The Old Station House was known as 'Lackland House' from 1st February
1972. It appears from the documentation to have reverted to 'The
Old Station House' after purchase by the Empsalls in 1982.

The long strip of land at the rear of the property was purchased
on 23rd April 1976 from Carlisle City Council. The land cost £100.
4)
An improvement grant was used in 1972 to replace existing windows
and effect a number of repairs to the roofing, chimneys and areas
around the property. It appears from the documentation that the
pantry was converted to a utility room/downstairs toilet in 1977.
